The Prime is so much more than an entry-level board. A sweet performer in all wind and water conditions, it tracks upwind smoothly and slices splash-free through the chop. With an instantly familiar, intuitive, and comfortable feel, the Prime is constructed in North’s Composite layup.

The rounded outline enables controlled edging in a range of conditions, while the progressive single concave with shallow rocker enables fast early planing and edge hold. It also has a structurally reinforced deck with an indent to grip for board-offs. Jump and boost in full control, with forgiving landings thanks to the softer flex. The Prime helps you progress faster in your freeride game.

Technology

• Early Splash-Free Planing: Pulled-in flexible tips with a progressive single concave, deepest in the centre and flatter toward the tips, for faster early planing, tuned tip flex, and slicing splash-free through chop.
• Controlled Edging: Rounded outline for smooth upwind tracking and easy edging, with forgiving flex for softer landings and confidence to jump and boost.
• Indented Rail Grab: Structurally integrated into the deck shape to provide easy grip for board-offs. The Grab-it rail can be used as an accessory with this indent.
• Composite Construction: Built with North’s Composite layup, using a Paulownia wood core with engineered biaxial E-glass laminate layups on the top and bottom.
• FlipTech Mounting: Centreline inserts allow the bindings to be flipped around, giving the board a fresh heelside rail when one side wears out.
• Progressive Single Concave: Flatter rocker on the centre line than the rails helps the board plane earlier, while the more pronounced rail rocker holds power when edging.
• Durable ABS Rail & Smoothed Edge: Long-lasting ABS rails with user-friendly smoothed edges help protect skin from accidental scrapes and bruises.
